Why is “Just tell me” unavailable?

Voice-assisted entry requires on-device speech recognition and Apple Foundation Models on a compatible Apple Intelligence device. Make sure Apple Intelligence and the required language are available in Settings. Manual entry remains available from the + button.

Can I use the app offline?

Previously loaded recalls remain available from the encrypted local cache. Changes require a connection and the app clearly marks offline state until it can sync again.

Why does the app request location?

Location places a new recall near where you met. You can deny the permission and keep browsing existing recalls; the app will use the current map position when you add manually.

How do I delete a recall or my account?

Open People and swipe left on a recall to delete it. For the whole account, open Account → Delete account and recalls. The account is deleted immediately; final cloud cleanup starts after about two hours, once active device credentials expire, and keeps retrying if needed. If you signed in with Apple, follow the displayed step to revoke Hoosit Recall in Apple Account settings too.

Before reporting a sync problem

Confirm the iPhone has a connection, open Account to verify the expected email, and tap the offline banner to retry. Hoosit Recall logs operational state but does not intentionally log recall content or precise locations.
