What stays on your device
Your recordings, original note text, polished text, custom styles, and app settings are stored on your device. Voice transcription runs on your device. Whisper Polish does not require an account.
When you use your own OpenRouter key
Your key is stored in Apple Keychain on your device. When you request a polish or fact check, the needed note text is sent directly from the app to OpenRouter under your OpenRouter account. OpenRouter's own terms and privacy practices apply to that processing.
When you use Whisper Polish Cloud
The note text and selected style are sent to the Whisper Polish service and then to OpenRouter to generate the result. The service validates your Apple subscription, associates usage with Apple subscription transaction identifiers, records request counts and provider cost, and stores generated results so interrupted requests can be retried safely. Requests restrict OpenRouter routing to providers it identifies as not collecting user data.
Purchases
Subscriptions are purchased and managed through Apple. Apple provides the app with transaction information needed to verify access; Y'all Ware does not receive your full payment-card details.
Your choices
- Use the app without cloud polishing.
- Use your own OpenRouter key instead of Whisper Polish Cloud.
- Delete notes and recordings from the app at any time.
- Remove your OpenRouter key in Settings.
